Jesse Glover R.I.P.

I only met Jesse Glover once.  It was at the Bruce and Brandon Lee Memorial Banquet in Seattle in April of 1999.  We had a nice but short conversation about Bruce Lee and about my Si-hing, GM Keith Kernspecht having learned from him for a short time in the late 1970s I believe.  My main interest at the time was finding out if his self-published book called Bruce Lee was still available.  It turned out it that it was and he told me how to get a copy!  An icon of the martial arts, may Jesse Glover rest in peace!

The rest of my trip was also eventful!  I was at the banquet at the invitation of my friend Seaton Chang.  It was the second time that I met Bruce Lee’s widow, Linda Lee Caldwell and his daughter Shannon Lee.  It was also a rare occasion when I could get my brother Kurt to attend a martial arts event!

The Bruce and Brandon Lee event also included a bus tour of all the Bruce Lee-related sites where he taught and finally, the grave site of Bruce and his late son Brandon Lee who are buried side by side in a Seattle area cemetery.
