Wing Tsun’s efficient method of combining defense and offense into one smooth movement is the start to working your brain as well as your body. Most people have a dominant side. That is, they are either right or left-handed. Training on the less dominant side works your brain that has not had a chance to be worked. Now perform different tasks with each hand simultaneously. It can be quite a challenge at first. However, you get brain training and fast, efficient self-defense in one program! You are also working the arms and legs in a different manner than you have in the past. It is not a repeat of movements of any other popular style.
The “side-effect” is that you start thinking differently as to how you move in your daily tasks. You can reduce fatigue this way.
When it comes to self-defense, it is better to blend defense and offense into one smooth movement if you expect to recover for any sort of attack. Your thought processes are bound to change through this kind of training. It’s well worth a try. See you at classes!
